Pricing & Engagement Model
The data shows that B2B buyers want transparent pricing information before speaking with a new vendor, and we listen to the data! Here is a transparent view of how our engagements are structured and what they cost:
- Our goal is to feel like integrated members of your team. We therefore keep our client load low and currently only have the capacity to work with three full-time clients and no more than two ad-hoc projects at any given time.
- We like long-term relationships because we are here to help you achieve big milestones in a data-driven strategy, not just build a couple of dashboards. We look for clients seeking a long-term partner. Most of our clients work with us for at least 2 years in a full-time capacity. That being said, if it’s not a fit we don’t want to lock you into a long-term contract.
We approach new clients with a 90-day proof of concept contract, and then typically have quarterly agreements.
- The traditional agency 'billable hour' model doesn’t quite work for us as we are very focused on efficiency and all our analysis is assisted by our proprietary automations. While we build custom software and automations for all our clients, the traditional SaaS model also doesn't work for us because we think human generated insight and deep client interaction and expertise is key to success. Our model is a hybrid of these to that both us and our clients can be the benefactor of our efficient approach.
- Our current focus for full-time work is with B2B SaaS companies. In order to bring the most efficiency to our clients we focus on clients with complimentary business strategies and tech stacks in non-competitive verticals. For example, we may work with a B2B Accounting SaaS and a B2B Network Management SaaS; this allows us to share (with permission) wider insights and learnings across our roster.
Full-Time Engagements
This is typically for clients that are hiring us instead of a full-time senior level analyst or data scientist. Working with us is beneficial because for a similar budget you get a wider range of expertise and scope, including director-level thought leadership, which most high-growth companies need but can’t afford.
- Our minimum engagement is $15,000 per month.
- 30% of our agreements are for an Innovation/Automation Retainer.
- 70% of our agreements are billed hourly, at an hourly rate of $125. A typical engagement includes about 20 hours a week of consulting time.
Here’s an example of a typical client engagement of $15,000 per month:
30% Innovation/Automation Retainer:
Think of this as your custom reporting, alerting, and monitoring suite. We rapidly build and deploy automations that speed up time to insights. All of our automations are personalized to each client, but we have a library of proprietary automation components that help us hit the ground running. Custom automated solutions usually include:
- Custom KPI Dashboard (in your visualization tool of choice, though we default to Tableau)
- Competitor Monitoring (3-5 competitors)
- Custom Marketing Attribution Modeling
- Bi-Annually UX Audit
- Weekly Analytics Technical Audit
- Automatic Change Detection & KPI Alerting
70% Consulting Hours:
Consulting hours allow our team to go deeper and help deploy insights and strategies - and yes, we typically can achieve all the items listed here in 20-30 human hours a week. This typically includes:
- Answering stakeholder questions, which typically goes much faster due to the supportive automation ecosystem we build.
- Best-in-Class tagging and tracking strategy, including implementation support.
- Weekly KPI reporting and analysis and marketing growth opportunity analysis
- End-to-End Conversion Rate Optimization/Experimentation Program
- Milestone analytics projects such as lead scoring, ICP analysis, churn prediction, customer segmentation, content attribution, marketing impact models, or other deep dives into customer behavior.
- Quarterly strategy presentations that dive deep into marketing performance
- Project management (managed and shared in Asana) and weekly client meetings
Short-Term Special Projects
We have some availability for short-term milestone analytics projects. The cost and timeline for these projects are developed after short discovery with the client. Some examples include:
- Analytics tagging, implementation, and auditing
- Competitor monitoring and analysis
- User experience (UX) audits
- Marketing data science models like Lead Scoring, Ideal Customer Profile Analysis (ICP), Churn Prediction and Analysis, Customer Segmentation and Classification Models, Marketing Impact Modeling and Customer Behavioral Analysis
